President of European Parlament: Petition for the new Constitution of Bosnian People and Bosnian Nation

Bosnians would like their new Bosnian constitution to be made by the People of Bosnia and for the People of Bosnia. There is a Human rights Petition on change.org called " Petition for the new Constitution of Bosnian People and Bosnian Nation " . There are lots of issues with current "constitution" which prevents Bosnia to function normally. People of Bosnia tehnically have no constitutional powers and can not decide or participate in decision making. This privilege is given only to three out of over twenty two ethnic groups that exist in Bosnia. Its time for Bosnia to grant the constitutional rights to its People of Bosnia and abolish ethnic voting permanently. Please sign the petition below to support the rights of Bosnian People.

Why is This Important?

" 1. We the People of Bosnia-Herzegovina, in order to protect the sovereignty and integrity of our country, establish justice, insure freedom and democracy with this petition, hereby declare that we do not want to be categorized as “Bosniaks”, Croats, Serbs or Others, but would like to establish the Constitution for Bosnia-Herzegovina as Bosnians of all religions, and Bosnia-Herzegovina as the country of One People & One Nation. Our country has existed for hundreds of years and we have our own national identity that is neither Serbian, Croatian or Bosniak. We are not Serbs, Croats or "Bosniaks". These are ethnic groups among 20+ ethnic groups that exist in our multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation.

2. We the People of Bosnia-Herzegovina are currently in the (un)constitutional category of "Others" with absolutely NO legal constitutional rights or constitutional powers to represent us as Bosnians, the People of Bosnia, or our Bosnian country. The People of Bosnia-Herzegovina request immediate constitutional change and recognition in the entire BH.

3. The People of Bosnia demand a new constitution for Bosnia to be established and created by us, the People of Bosnia-Herzegovina based on democracy and freedom for the People of Bosnia.

4. We want the constitution for Bosnia to be new and compatible with the constitutions of 27 other EU countries. The People of Bosnia-Herzegovina, demand our Bosnian Representatives who are neither "Bosniaks" from Balkans, Croats, nor Serbs who express loyalties to their ethnic lands, but native Bosnians whose country is Bosnia, Bosnians by birth who express loyalty and belonging to this country and belonging to Bosnian People, to represent us, the multiethnic and multi-religious People of Bosnia-Herzegovina and our nation, as well as immediate inclusion into the Presidency of BH.

Bosnians want constitutional changes

There are good news for all those who hope for justice in Bosnia. Ex-Yugoslavian States Serbia and Montenegro committed aggression, genocide and ethnic cleansing in 1992 in Bosnia. They masterminded and planned the entire operation, while providing equipment and military assistance to Serbs from within Bosnia to help in attacking newly admitted internationally recognized Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its Bosnian People.

The plan was to defeat Bosnians and join Bosnian land to their countries. In 1995, Dayton Agreement was signed with ex President of Serbia, Milosevic, later accused and tried in Hague for war crimes, the ex President of Croatia Tudjman, and he ex President of Bosnia, Izetbegovic. The goal was to freeze the war and allow everyone to sit and talk, while respecting Bosnian territorial integrity. The idea was to prevent any division of Bosnian territory. Nobody knew that Dayton peace agreement will simply replace the legitimate constitution of Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and become - rule of law, on which genocidal entity will thrive and gain powers that otherwise they legally could not have.

In the last 20 years, from 1992 until today, Bosnian People are oppressed in their own country. Hoping peace agreement will allow a chance for freedom and democracy, they found themselves more occupied in 2011 than during the war in 1992.  Bosnians are not included in any of decisions after Dayton agreement or in the government. For instance, Bosnian person in Bosnia can never be the President of Bosnia. Serbs from Serbia, Croats from Croatia can. Bosnians technically have no right to decide about Bosnia or themselves. They have no right to vote unless they declare belonging to one of 3 designated "ethnic categories" ( BHS ), and can only vote for one of them. The Bosnian option, to act as One People (all ethnic groups and religions) is suppressed and not legitimate. Basically only 3 out of at least twenty existing ethnic groups in Bosnia have rights to Bosnia that no other Bosnian can enjoy, and each ethnic category protects only the members of their own group. Political situation in Bosnia after Dayton agreement became very complicated, abnormal and unnatural. Dayton agreement is outdated, old, and is no longer protecting Bosnia.

Bosnian People can’t wait any longer to get the new constitution

E. Besic, native Bosnian, born in Sanski Most, writes:

"They suspended our Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, suspended our constitution of Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With Dayton agreement they installed two different ethnically cleansed territories so called "entities" which are at their best heading towards becoming independent states, if they are already not because they have all characteristics of the country: constitution, government, citizenship etc. They suspended our centuries old flag of Bosnia, lilies of King Tvrtko, that were symbols of our beautiful Bosnia, they suspended our anthem "You are the only one", they are suspending our prefixes in the names of the cities that carry prefixes of Bosnia - e.g. "Bosnian", they suspended our soccer team - something that made us feel like BOSNIANS, where, even though they did not allow it, the Bosnian flag with a golden lilies was able to fly." (30.03.2011)

( Bosnian lang. )

Bosnian People protest in Sarajevo

Bosnian people protested in Sarajevo today on March 5, 2011, aggravated because Bosnian Jovan Divjak, the General of Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina, who defended Bosnia from Serbo-Croatian aggression 1992 - 1995 was arrested in Austria. Serbia accused him of war crimes when he was defending and liberating Bosnia from their army. Serbia is trying to turn around the situation, and make themselves a victim in Genocide they committed in Bosnia!

Serbs remained on 49% of Bosnian territory, after Dayton agreement was signed primarily to stop the war and allow peaceful solution. For 20 years Serb-Croats worked very hard to separate Bosnian territory and join Bosnian land to Serbia and Croatia to which they declare loyalties. After they ethnically cleansed almost entire Bosnia and got constitutional rights against the will of Bosnian nation, they kept preventing the progress of Bosnian nation and blocked all reforms that were necessary hanging on unconstitutional agreement of Dayton...and in that way not allowing country to go forward. While all along, their Serbian General Ratko Mladic among many other war criminals accused of war crimes in Bosnia and responsible for genocide in Srebrenica are still free for 20 years!

This could never be possible if Dayton agreement did not give constitutional rights to Serbs and Croats in Bosnia in the first place, and took those rights away from Bosnians in their own country
unconstitutionally. Jovan Divjak: I am Bosnian. 'Ja sam Bosanac". B92 (2007-09-11)

Bosnians have no constitutional right to vote and decide about Serbia and Croatia so why should Serbs and Croats have a constitutional right to do so in Bosnia?

     1. Bosnian citizenship

This privilege should be given only to those either born in Bosnia or naturalized citizens who want Bosnia to be their nation and they declare themselves as Bosnian in terms of nationality as well as in terms of belonging to Bosnian People.  Double citizenships between Bosnia and other countries in Balkans need to be blocked and reversed.

     2. voting rights and making decisions about Bosnia and Bosnian people

Bosnian people have not been given legal right to vote and decide about Serbia and Croatia so why should Serbs and Croats have a legal right to do so in Bosnia? Voting rights in Bosnia should be given only to Bosnians, instead of giving Bosnian ciztizenship only to 3 ethnic groups who then have the privileges that the rest of the Bosnians cant have.

Do you really believe that after all what Bosnia went through - Bosnians willingly gave the constitutional rights and privileges to Serbs and Croats to rule over Bosnia?

Of course Bosnan People never did.

Bosnian friendship and love relationships

Bosnians culturally value friendship and social life. In Bosnia friendship between men and women is accepted and popular. Bosnians travel together with friends and like to be in groups. Having coffees is also Bosnian tradition. Coffee shops are all over the places.

Bosnians have a habit to meet a friend or a neighbor on the street going home from shopping, and they spontaneously decide to have a coffee at that very moment. Bosnians go out Monday trough Sunday. In Sarajevo, Friday and Saturday night is every night!!

Bosnians know everything about each other, such as who you are, your family, relatives, cousins, where do you live, where did you go to school, where do you work. T
hey often ask you if you are married or do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend up front, as soon as they meet you.

Bosnian Coffee

Meeting for coffee or drinks is always friendship. If a man suggest "to have a dinner", to Bosnians this demonstrates clear serious romantic interest.

Europeans, just like Bosnians do not date more than one person at the time. It is NOT acceptable to multi-date and look around who is a better romantic prospect while already going out romantically with someone. It's considered inappropriate ( cheating ).
In Bosnia it is normal to be platonic friends. Either you are that or a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Bosnians do not have talks about exclusive or monogamous relationships. It is assumed automatically that if you are interested in a romantic relationship, that relationship is monogamous and exclusive. It is also assumed you have honorable intentions.
Affection, hugging and kissing is accepted in public places for younger people. People generally don't fear commitment, they often recommend their own friends and relatives all the time! Its not a big deal.

When Bosnians use others or cheat, they are often not respected in society and people do not want to be in their circles. Also womanizing is highly undesirable, flirting with many people, not being loyal, having many partners in many different places and for many different reasons etc. Its true that some people are not honest and cheat or deceive, but culturally such behavior in Bosnia is highly disapproved. Bosnian friends and families protect and tell each other when they see partner doing anything inappropriate, people talk and give you information.

Bosnians generally marry the first or the second love.

Sarajevo girls love fashion

Fashion embraces every culture, every country and background in some shape or form. Bosnia is a mix of the Eastern and the Western influences. Both worlds have something great to offer.  I came across of beautiful blog by Sarajevo girl, a lover of fashion from Bosnia Mamy-Baby.   Link: Here Blog has lots of ideas for multicultural and multireligious Bosnia, that is what defines Bosnia and makes the country unique!

This is the best  fashion blog I ever came across. Everything that I saw on this blog, I like. That does not happen often.

Mamy-Baby has another blog for Teens and Children as well.
Link: Here.

In Bosnia the East and West are both accepted.

Once I wore an Indian red traditional party dress for the wedding of my friend's relative.
That Indian dress IS equally fashionable and good to East just like the cocktail party black dress in the West. They are the same thing - just different.

this... so cute. Here are links of fashion blog again:

Bosnian Mountain Sheepdog

Native to Bosnia - Bosnian Mountain Sheepdog. So cute. This Bosnian sheepdog is originating from Bosnian mountain called Vlasic. Dog is huge and has beautiful coat. Many Bosnians who live in villages have this dog.

Bosnians call this dog "Bosanski Tornjak".

My father had one as a child. I had a different one. Mine was a gun sporting/hunting dog (
Chocolate Labrador Retriever ). This is the most intelligent dog you can ever have. Always happy.  Full of energy, very alert and active.

As a puppy so adorable. I just love this dog.

If you want one, I think this woman has really good healthy dogs.

Bosnian Nationality vs. Bosnian Ethnicity

 Bosnian Nationality
People who admit Bosnia as their own country ( naturalized citizens ) and/or are born in Bosnia are automatically Bosnians by default.

Nationality is declaration of belonging to the country. The passport shows your nationality. If your passport says - Bosnia - your nationality is Bosnian.
You can change your nationality.

Ethnicity of Bosnian People

Ethnicity is who were your ancestors, your mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, grand grand father ( where they came from originally ). Ethnicity is not nationality.

When someone says they are Ethnic Bosnians, they are saying their ancestors originate from Bosnia. Their parents were born in Bosnia. And in some cases their grandparents, and grand grand parents as well.

All ethnic groups belong to one People ( People of the nation they declare their own and where they were born ). Those People represent the Bosnian Nation. There are tons of many different ethnic groups in every country.

The ethnic belonging is irrelevant. It has no legality in itself. What is on your passport ( your nationality ) is what legally matters.

Religion of Bosnian People

Religion is your belief. Just like anywhere else Bosnian people are of different religious and non religious beliefs.

In fact there is a very good belief test that I am going to post here that tells you in what percentage your belief system reflects what religion. Every person is different and has different thoughts, ideas, and beliefs.

Examples of different nationalities

Bosnia = Bosnian nation made of  Bosnian People = Bosnian national/Bosnian

Usa = American nation made of American People = American national/American

Croatia = Croatian nation made of Croatian People = Croatian national/Croat

Slovenia = Slovenian nation Slovenian People = Slovenian national = Slovenian

Serbia= Serbian nation Serbian People - Serbian national = Serb/Serbian

As you can see here every country has one Nation and one People.

Also check other posts - Who are the Bosnians ? Here.

Bosnian Nation and Bosnian People here.

Who are the Ethnic Serbs and Ethnic Croats in Bosnia?

When somebody says they are Ethnic Serbs, they are saying their ancestors originate from Serbia. Or Ethnic Croats, they are saying their ancestors originate from Croatia. Ethnic Serbs and ethnic Croats in Bosnia are still Bosnians and actually mostly Ethnic Bosnians even though they may ( often not knowingly ) claim otherwise.

Many actually never visited Serbia nor Croatia and their ancestors are more often than not born in Bosnia. Calling them Ethnic Serbs or Ethnic Croats ( if originating from Bosnia ) is false. They are told ( instructed ) to declare themselves as non-Bosnian in ethnicity by Serbian & Croatian nationalists for the purpose of dividing Bosnian territory. Do not participate in such act because that is what causes war in Balkan region.

Neighbouring countries Serbia and Croatia can only make trouble in Bosnia through luring Ethnic Bosnians to abandon who they are and lean towards either Serbian & Croatian Ethnic and National Identities for the purpose of division of Bosnian territory and adding it to their own countries. This is what the core of the problem in that region is.  And that is what they did! This needs to be corrected in speech and in writing. See below:

Bosnian People ( bosanskohercegovacki narod ) includes all ethnic groups in Bosnia including ethnic Serbs and ethnic Croats and many others.

The role of the Serbian Orthodox Church in ethnic cleansing in Bosnia

Bosnian people of all religions suffered a lot because of Serbian Orthodox Church. The Church played a huge role in ethnic cleansing in Bosnia.

They lured people of orthodox religion to join this killing "in the name of God". Their justification was to "save the Serbs" from extinction in the countries they do not even admit as theirs.

Bosnian people of orthodox religion in reality have no real authentic Bosnian Church. All churches in Bosnia are basically renamed, taken over and re-established as Serbian churches.
When I say "Serbian Orthodox Church" I am talking about the church from another country - Serbia.

You would think, when you say Church - that the entire point is to support peace, right? Here is the picture how orthodox priest is "BLESSING" the paramilitary Serbian formations just a little before actual attack on Srebrenica, Bosnia where genocide took place.

The Serbian Orthodox Priest blessing armed paramilitary
Serbian solder(s)

The picture above is a screen shot from released video footage showing a Serb Orthodox priest blessing the paramilitary soldiers on June 25, 1995 just a few days before the soldiers were to be transferred to Srebrenica where slaughter of estimated 8.000 men and boys of Bosnian nationality as young as 9 years old took place.

The ultimate goal was to kill anyone who is not a Serb.

And ethnically cleanse Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo for the purpose of creating the fantasy land called
Greater Serbia.

Consequently: Genocide and ethnic cleansing of all non-Serbs in Bosnia

We can resolve this issue by having our own Bosnianherzegovinian ( or shortly Bosnian ) orthodox church ( for Bosnians of orthodox faith ) instead of having foreign churches in Bosnia that are obsessed with Greater Serbia ideology - and - interested in politics rather than actual spirituality and religion.

There is also a great book on this subject by
Mitja Velikonja ( in English ), called "Religious Separation and Political Intolerance in Bosnia-Herzegovina". read here

Whoever is interested to clearly understand this region must read this book. On page 265, Velikonja gave many examples of the Serbian church support for:

- Serb extremists and
- war criminals in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo.

Such was also a  relationship with Serb war criminal Arkan.

When Serb Patriarch Pavle met with him, he presented Arkan with a gift of Saint Nicola statue approving him and according to some sources helping in organization, financing and arming his militia. Serb Bishop Vasilij personally traveled from Bosnia to Serbia to attend Arkan's wedding in February of 1995.

Myths about Orthodoxy and holly Serbs began to emerge. This is not different from how Hitler incorporated religion in his "vision" to eliminate 12 millions of Jews. Now you think this can not happen again. Well this CAN happen, it happened multiple times and it will happen again.

Some people are blindly following whatever someone from religious institutions or their group tells them without critical evaluation on their part. It is a groupthink.

(
Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that can occur in groups of people. Rather than critically evaluating information, the group members begin to form quick opinions that match the group consensus without taking personal responsibility. Groupthink seems to occur most often when a respected or persuasive leader is present, inspiring members to agree with his or her opinion.

  • group think - psychology
    • illusion of invulnerability
    • rationalization of past decisions
    • unquestioned belief in the group's morality
    • stereotyped view of opponent
    • conformity pressure
    • self-censorship
    • illusion of unanimity
    • mindguards )

  • Groupthink: read more here

Janis, Irving L.  (1982).  Groupthink: Psychological Studies of Policy Decisions and Fiascoes.  Second Edition.  New York: Houghton Mifflin.

The Serbian Church blessed military criminals, spread and also justified stereotypes about Bosnians, Croats, Kosovars and anyone who is not Serbian calling them Turks and all kinds of awkward names.

At the same time, it denied indisputable evidence of Serb held concentration camps, genocide, ethnic cleansing and other Serb crimes calling it a hoax.

There are reports of forced conversation of people to Orthodoxy and changing their names into Serbian. This forced conversion was not unusual even in times of my grandmother in 1940's when Serbs in ex-Yu were converting non-orthodox population to orthodoxy.

Testimonies how Sarajevo was shelled, and innocent people, civilians, children, ordinary men and women killed by Serbian snipers

VIDEO: Serbs shooting on people I rarely read entire testimonies as they tend to be very long, however in this case I found one ( read here ) that I could not stop reading until I've read it entirely.

In this particular testimony, Mr. Charty, a prosecutor showed the photo of the area in 360 views and asked the Serbian soldier ( who was stationed in Sarajevan suburb held by Serbs, Grbavica ) to testify about snipers and what really happened.

The soldier claimed that Bosnians itself were shooting ( sniping ) from the "red building" onto their own territory, however, when asked to show if the person from targeted area could of been shot while he rotates the area in 360 degrees, waiting for him to point on something that could of been shot, nothing could of been seen!

Of course, that's because Serb soldier was not telling the truth. Serbian snipers were killing people and their supporters deny until present day any sniper fire from Sarajevan suburb held by Serbs, Grbavica despite all the evidence.

Having said that, the person who testified said he had never seen any, but later when confronted with evidence, he referred to this sniper fire as simply the "shooting" not really "sniping". In his words sniping is not the same as shooting. He said there was shooting but no sniping. To him that was somehow different... as if ...

killed by sniping or by shooting ( pointing gun at someone and killing ) is of less crime. But that was not different to families all over the world who lost their loved ones to Serbian snipers. For example look at this photo.

Snipers in Sarajevo, Getty Images

On daylife.com says: "A French UN soldier and a woman give first aid to a Bosnian soldier shot by a sniper bullet on Sarajevo so-called "Sniper avenue" 21 November 1994. The Bosnian soldier died seconds later. The UN war crimes court convicted 12 December 2007 Bosnian Serb general Dragomir Milosevic of terrorising the people of Sarajevo during the siege of the Bosnian capital, and jailed him for 33 years. The judges ruled that troops under Milosevic's command shelled Sarajevo and directed sniper fire against civilians, spreading terror among the inhabitants as they queued for bread, went to xafs or were simply walking with their children."

Sarajevo sniper victims, photo by Eileen Kleinman

On this photo one civilian is shot by the Serbian sniper and another one wants to help him but is afraid and does not know what to do because he fears he will be shot too.

If you want to know why people can not hide the truth about what happened in Bosnia, and how lie is always caught at the end, read it... and of course it's good to know the facts. We all know this took place in Sarajevo, I WAS THERE. I am also glad that lost of journalists actually were in the court to testify.

Welcome to Sarajevo

Explore Sarajevo

Sa-Seher

This is a city.
In every sense of the word.
And at whatever time of the day, and from whatever elevation you look down at Sarajevo, you always, even if unconsciously, think the same: this is a city, a city wearing out and dying, and at the same time being born and transformed.

Ivo Andrić

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE
Author: Dino Dervishalidovic

Zemljo tisucljetna
Na vjernost ti se kunem
Od mora do Save
Od Drine do Une

I pledge my loyalty to you
My thousand year old land
From Sava to the sea
From Drina to Una

Jedna si jedina
Moja domovina
Jedna si jedina
Bosna i Hercegovina

You are the only one
The only homeland I have
You are the only one
Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bog nek' te sacuva
Za pokoljenja nova
Zemljo mojih snova
Mojih pradjedova

May God save you
For the generations to come
You are the land of my dreams
The land of my forefathers

Jedna si jedina
Moja domovina
Jedna si jedina
Bosna i Hercegovina

You are the only one
The only homeland I have
You are the only one
Bosnia and Herzegovina
